This service is used to cancel a valid registration on a vehicle. Depending on the length of time remaining until expiry, you may receive a partial refund from Service Alberta via cheque in 4-6 weeks. There will be a processing fee paid up front to the Registry prior to the cancellation.

Please complete the following fields, upload any required forms or documents (listed below), and submit your request. If there are any outstanding fines or restrictions on your file, we will contact you for further instructions.

Once all requirements are met, we will email you a credit card payment invoice. Please note that all credit card payments are subject to an additional government approved payment processing fee of approximately 3.5% of the total cost.
